ELEPO21_for_Bacterial_Yeast_Fungi_Mammalian_Cell_EP

We are about to launch a new device for Bacterial, Yeast, Fungi and In Vitro mammalian Cell electroporation.  We have called the device the ELEPO21.

ELEPO21 Device
For Bacterial, Yeasts, Fungi and Mammalian Cell EP (In Vitro)
In addition to the ELEPO21 device, one will require the following accessories: connection cables, the CU500 Cuvette Camber, CU600 Cuvette Holder and our EC-001S/2S/4S mm Cuvettes (1mm, 2mm and 4mm).  Our cuvette prices are the cheapest on the market).

For your information:
–    We are able to sell the device immediately (ahead of its formal launch, later this year)
–    We are still working on preparation for the formal launch
o    ELEPO21 Brochure
o    ELEPO21 User Manual

The ELEPO21 is designed for High Voltage In Vitro electroporation.
Primary targets are Bacterial, Yeasts, Fungi and Mammalian Cells.
Please note this link to results data for Bacteria (E. coli) and Yeast (S. cerevisiae)
Algae Cells have not yet been tested but we believe they are ideal targets for the ELEPO21.

Difference between NEPA21 and ELEPO21
–    NEPA21 has been designed for both In Vivo and In Vitro EP and therefore has a wider application range
–    ELEPO21 has been designed only for (High Voltage) In Vitro EP
o    The device has two Voltage Modes (High and Low)
§    The High Voltage Mode is from 801-3,000V
§    The Low Voltage Mode is from 100-300V
o    The Low Voltage mode is almost the same as the NEPA21
§    Hence it can deliver the Mammalian Cell EP protocols that work with the NEPA21
§    But it cannot deliver the low voltage In Vivo EP protocols available with the NEPA21
§    The In Vivo electrodes available for the NEPA21 system do not fit the ELEPO21.
·    User safety drives this design configuration
·    The highest ELEPO21 voltage setting (3,000V) it is too dangerous to be used for In Vivo applications
·    For your information, all NEPA21 In Vivo protocols are under 300V, so there is no need to programme a higher Voltage range into our In Vivo electroporation offering (the NEPA21)

We tested the ELEPO21 with clients over the last 18 months and can confirm:
Bacterial cells: The results are better than BTX/Bio-Rad in general.
Mammalian cells: The results are similar to the NEPA21 in general. The same protocols can be used.

Algae cells: We have not tested algae using the ELEPO21. So we do not have protocols just yet.
But we are confident that successful protocols will be generated
