Zebrafish Brain Electrode Recommendation

Zebrafish Brain Electrode Recommendation:

The CUY200S electrode set was designed to deliver genes into the Adult Mouse Brain.  We believe that the zebrafish brain (3 x 1.5mm) may be too small for the CUY200S electrode set.

For your information, the specification of CUY200S is as follows:

–  The diameter of CUY207 and CUY208 : 0.1mm

–  The length of conductive part                         : 0.5mm

–  Minimum distance between electrodes            : 1mm

Since the zebrafish brain is so small, it is hard to inject electrodes into it. In addition, we believe that the injection of the electrodes may lead to serious damage to the zebrafish.  Accordingly, we recommend the following electrode options:

–  A tweezers-type electrode such as CUY650P0.5 and CUY650P1

–  A bath type electrode such as CUY495P15

–  If it turns out that the CUY495P15 electrode is not be large enough for zebrafish we are able to customize the electrode according to the client requirements and specification. Kindly contact sales@sonidel.com
