Mouse – Tissue/Brain Slice

Electrode Recommendations:

For gene delivery into tissue (such as Brain Slice) we recommend a pair of either of the following electrodes:

-  CUY700 series                             Technical Drawing: CUY700 series

-  CUY701 series                             Technical Drawing: CUY701 series

In addition, if a specific part of the tissue is targeted, the combination of the tungsten and the petridish-type electrode ought to be appropriate.

With respect to the delivery of genes into mouse brain slice, kindly note:

-  ‘Electroporation-mediated gene transfer system applied to cultured CNS neurons’

In this article, Dr. Okabe used the CUY700P2E and CUY614 with CUY615 electrodes.  As he wished to deliver genes into a specific part of the brain slice, a tungsten needle was used instead of the CUY700P2L electrode recommended above.
